Shoutout to the lady at the Tucson library who saved our book club from a 40 minute fight
Last month our group met at the Tucson library to talk about a novel and two members got into it so bad over the ending that we burned 40 minutes and never got to chapter 12. I started bringing a little timer and a rule that we each get 3 minutes to say our take before anyone can reply, and it totally changed the room. Does anyone else have a trick for keeping a heated discussion from eating the whole meeting?
