Shoutout to the guy at my library book club who called the twist on page 212 out loud
We were 40 minutes into talking about our mystery pick at the Riverside branch last Tuesday when a guy named Dave just blurted out the ending. Half the circle gasped and the other half laughed because he was actually right. Our host, Maria, said he owed us all coffee next month and he agreed, so now I'm getting a free latte out of a spoiled book. What got me was how fast the room split into two camps, the people who hate any spoilers and the people who said it made them want to reread it. Dave's defense was that he'd read it 3 times and couldn't hold it in anymore. Does your club have a rule for spoilers or do you just let it happen and deal with the fallout?
