Figured out I was dog-earing pages wrong after 15 years of book clubs

Last month at my Wednesday night club, someone pointed out I was folding the corner down on the wrong side of the page. I always folded the top corner toward the spine, but apparently everyone else does it toward the edge so you can see the page number. Linda said she could never find where I left off when it was my turn to host, which is why she always grabbed a sticky note. It sounds so small but I felt like a fool. Has anyone else had a basic reading habit they just never questioned?

Linda's sticky note approach sounds way easier than judging someone's page folding technique after 15 years.

Did a friend actually get called out for bad folding at a job interview?
