Rant: my old tube roller saved the day when the hydraulic one quit on a 5/8" plate job in Gary
The hydraulic roller died mid-pass on a job in Gary last Tuesday, so I dug out my grandfather's manual tube roller from the back of the truck just to keep moving. It took three of us and a cheater bar, but that old thing rolled smoother plate than the new one ever did, and I honestly felt a little dumb for leaving it to rust. Am I the only one who has old hand tools that still outwork the new gear?
