Turns out my favorite euro game is 14 years older than I thought, found it on the publisher site
I was looking up the designer's other work last night and clicked through the game's page on their official site. The original print date was 2001, not 2012 like I always assumed from the box art on my shelf. I got it at a flea market in Portland for $8 and never checked the copyright line. The mechanics feel so modern that I figured it had to be newer. Anyone else ever misjudge a game's age from the look alone?

2001 is wild for something that feels that modern. You basically found a damn antique at a flea market and thought it was a recent release the whole time, that's like buying a "vintage" t-shirt and finding out it's older than your parents. My copy of Catan sat on my shelf for years before I noticed the date on it was way off from what I guessed too. Box art really does lie to your face sometimes lol.
