Guy at my Tuesday game night in Boise said he never trades in Settlers because 'trading is how you lose slow'
We were 3 rounds into a 4 player game of Catan at my buddy's place last week and I offered this quiet guy named Dev a sheep for an ore, and he just shook his head and passed. When I asked why, he said every trade you make gives two other players a better board than you, even the one you think you're winning, and he ended up taking the whole game without making a single deal. Do you all trade much or is hoarding actually the smarter play at a full table?
