My anvil face was lying to me for 2 years
Used to blame my hammer swings for uneven flats until I threw a straightedge across the face and saw a 1/16" dip near the hardy hole. Resurfaced it last month with a local machine shop, cost me $60, and now my tenons come out square on the first pass. Anyone else ever trust a worn face longer than they should?

That 1/16" dip is brutal, man. I feel your pain, I ran a beat up face for way too long myself and only caught it when a customer pointed it out.
