Warning: I hit episode 50 of a show and it completely stalled on me
I was binging some random crime drama on Netflix and got to episode 50 without even noticing. I thought wow that's a lot but then I looked at the remaining episodes and it had like 120 more. The pacing just died after that point for me. Has anyone else run into a show that got too long and you just lost interest?

Webb.val's right about restaurants too but episode 50 is usually where streaming shows hit their wall. You can almost set a clock by it. Was watching a medical drama where the main love triangle got resolved around that point and the next twenty episodes were just introducing new interns nobody cared about. They even had one character get amnesia twice. By episode 60 I was scrolling my phone more than watching. Felt like the show runners just started throwing stuff at the wall hoping something would stick.

Oh man, "stalled" is exactly the right word for it. I had this happen with a supernatural show that I think was supposed to be 13 episodes and they stretched it to like 80. By episode 50 I was still waiting for the main mystery to get solved and they just kept adding new characters and side plots. I remember I was on the couch with my laptop balanced on my knees and I just closed the whole thing mid episode. Never went back. It's like the writers run out of gas and just start spinning their wheels with filler.

@shane_ross nailed it. I think the same thing happens with a lot of stuff now, not just shows. Like restaurants that start with a small menu and then slowly turn into a diner with 80 options. Quality just drops.
