Update: I picked The Wire over Breaking Bad for my first big drama and I'm not sorry
My brother in Denver kept pushing Breaking Bad and I went with The Wire instead because the corner kids storyline pulled me in fast. Four seasons in and the slow pace still lands harder than any cliffhanger I've seen. Which one would you hand a friend who's never watched a serious show before?
