Rewatching The Wire every 2 years vs. my first time at 19, big difference
When I first saw The Wire back in 2006, I was all about the street stuff, the corners, the chase scenes. Now at 37, I catch myself rewinding whole scenes just to watch the city politics and the school system stuff, especially season 4. The detail I missed the first time is insane, like how the dock workers' storyline sets up everything else. Anyone else find they appreciate the slow burn shows way more on a second or third rewatch than they did the first go around?
