Tried heat on a stuck BB cup and it fought back harder than expected
Had a 68mm bottom bracket on an old Trek that was seized solid, hit it with a propane torch for 5 minutes and it still wouldnt budge. The frame started to discolor near the shell, which scared me off, so I let it cool and tried a different route. Ended up using a breaker bar with the frame clamped in a Park stand and a long cheater pipe, that finally popped it loose after 6 months of parking it in a corner. Anyone else run into frames where heat just makes things worse, or do you swear by a different trick like freezing spray?

You ever try heating the frame where the shell meets the tube, not the cup itself...
