Got handed a stripped brake mount by a kid in Tucson last week and he didn't even blink

I was helping out at a co-op downtown, kid rolls in with a mountain bike, says the brake keeps wobbling. I take a look and the threads on the rear disc mount are totally gone, like someone used a wrong bolt and just cranked it. He just shrugs and says, 'Yeah I figured, can you just drill it out for a bigger bolt?' I had to explain that's not how it works. Ended up heli-coiling it for him. He watched the whole thing, asked a ton of questions about thread pitch. Has anyone else had to fix a botched job from a new rider who just didn't know any better?

Helicoil saves the day again, good on you for walking him through it.

Did he strip the threads again after you fixed it?
