My grind setting was off by two clicks for a whole year

I thought my Pour-over was just naturally bitter, but last Tuesday a barista at the local shop asked to taste it and said it looked too fine. I adjusted two clicks coarser and the sweetness came out instantly. Has anyone else had a small tweak fix a flavor issue they blamed on beans?
