Grinder burr shim trick saved my $80 drip coffee
My old grinder started throwing boulders in the grounds after 2 years, so I tried the aluminum foil shim method under the upper burr. I cut a 1 inch strip of heavy duty foil, wrapped it around the shaft, and it tightened the grind back to a consistent medium in one go. That hack from a Seattle coffee forum post kept me from dropping $200 on a new unit. Anyone else tried this before upgrading, or am I just delaying the inevitable?
