Deleted my shop links from my hair tutorial and views tripled in 4 days

I used to put my Etsy shop link in the caption of every hair video, then two weeks ago I pulled all of them and just pinned a comment saying 'full tutorial on my page'. My reach went from about 800 views per post to 2,400 by day four, which makes no sense to me. Has anyone else seen a platform actually reward you for NOT sending people off the app?
