The generic store brand headache pills beat the name brand, no joke

I grabbed a 500 count bottle of acetaminophen for $4.50 at the discount grocer, thinking it would be weak sauce. Same active ingredient, same mg, but I was still skeptical. Took two for a brutal sinus headache Tuesday and they worked faster than the $9 name brand I usually buy. Pharmacist at the counter said the FDA requires identical standards, so why pay double. Anyone else ditch name brands on meds after a similar test?
