Uncle Ron's towel trick sounded crazy until I tried it on a walk-in

My uncle cut hair in Miami for 40 years. He swore by warming the neck towel in the microwave for 12 seconds before wrapping it around a client's head. Sounded like a burn lawsuit waiting to happen. Last Tuesday I had a guy with crazy sensitive skin, every hot towel made him flinch. Gave his trick a shot, 12 seconds, not 15. Client nearly fell asleep in the chair. Asked if he wanted a shave too, first time he ever said yes. Anyone else got a weird family hack that actually works?
