Told a guy with a receding hairline to grow it out instead of fading it, and it actually worked
Had a regular come in about 2 months ago, mid 40s, hair thinning hard at the temples. He always asked for a tight fade and I could see it was making the thin spots look worse every visit. So I finally just asked him to trust me and leave the sides a little longer, like a number 3 on the clippers instead of a 1. He texted me a photo two weeks later and the difference was wild, the shadow from the longer sides hid the scalp showing through. Now I've done the same thing for 4 other guys in their 40s and every one of them has come back happy. Kind of blew my mind that less clipper work can look sharper on the right head. Any of you run into clients who fight you on going longer even when it's clearly better for them?
