Hit 2,000 straight razor shaves this month, my hands finally stopped overcorrecting

Three years ago in Austin I could barely hold a steady blade angle on a client's jawline, but last week I counted back my logbook and realized the 2,000th shave went off without a single nick or patch of irritation, so for anyone struggling with wrist tension, does it ever just click after a certain number, or did I get lucky with today's growth pattern?

Maybe it's just me but 2,000 shaves seems like an awful lot of dedication to something that usually takes ten minutes a day. I mean, do you really think your hands "finally" got it, or did you just get used to the feel of your own face? There's probably a point where muscle memory kicks in, sure, but calling it a click sounds like you're waiting for some magic moment that might not exist. Honestly, most barbers I've talked to say the blade angle is 90 percent about the prep work, not some mystical hand steadiness. You probably just had decent lather and a good day, which happens to everyone, even beginners. Either way, congrats on not bleeding, but I wouldn't read too much into it.
