Finally figured out the fade transition after 6 months of struggling
I had a client come in last Tuesday who kept pointing out his sides looked 'choppy' after every cut. I spent 4 days just practicing the flicking motion on mannequins with a #2 guard. Turns out I was lifting too fast and leaving a visible line. Has anyone else had to unlearn their muscle memory on a basic move like that?

Spent a whole weekend basically fighting my own hand like it was some kind of evil twin lol. I had this weird thing where I'd do a perfect flick on the right side but then my left hand would lift a quarter inch higher and leave this ugly little step. It took me legit watching myself in a mirror for like 30 minutes straight before I realized I was rushing the motion on my non-dominant side. Muscle memory is a real pain sometimes you think you've got something down and then your body just betrays you lmao.

Wonder if you grip tighter with your off hand without noticing.
