Customer told me she drives 40 minutes past six shops to sit in my chair, and it got me thinking about what actually keeps people coming back
Last Tuesday a regular named Dana told me she passes at least six other barber shops on her way to me, and she's been doing it for two years now. I asked her straight up why, since those spots are closer and probably cheaper. She said it's not the cut, it's that I remember her son's name and ask about his soccer games. That threw me, since I always figured skills and speed were what mattered most. So for the guys who've been at this longer than me, what's the one thing you do that customers actually tell you keeps them loyal?
