A kid in my chair in Austin asked for a 'dragon mohawk' and I had to think fast

He was about seven years old and very serious about wanting green spikes. I didn't have any colored gel, just my usual stuff. I ended up mixing a bit of my green hair chalk with some strong-hold pomade to shape it. It actually worked pretty well and his mom took a picture. Has anyone else had to improvise a kid's wild haircut request on the spot?

Oh man, that's awesome you made it work! It reminds me of the time my nephew wanted "fire hair" for his birthday party. I was babysitting and we had zero hair stuff, so I used a little bit of red food coloring mixed with water in a spray bottle. It washed right out but looked crazy for a few hours. What did the kid's face look like when he saw your dragon mohawk?

Imagine his eyes going wide, then that slow grin spreading across his face like he just won the lottery.

And yeah @ivan211 that description is spot on except I think it was more like he just found out he was getting a puppy AND won the lottery at the same time. The kid literally started jumping up and down so hard I thought he was going to knock over my whole setup. I had to grab him by the shoulders just to keep him still long enough to finish the last few spikes.
