Hit 1,000 sourdough loaves baked, never expected the number to mean so much

I counted back through my notebook last weekend, been baking since March 2021 and just crossed 1,000 loaves out of my home oven in Portland. I thought the milestone would be about technique or consistency, but honestly it hit me harder seeing how many neighbors and friends I've traded with. The 1,000th loaf went to my mail carrier who's been asking about my starter for months. Anyone else keep a tally or log of what you've made, or am I the only weirdo who tracks this stuff?

Gasped when I read that you gave loaf number 1,000 to your mail carrier. That is such a thoughtful touch, and I can just picture their face lighting up after months of asking. I keep a similar log in a little green notebook, and I track every loaf and who gets it. Last year I hit 312 and gave my dentist the one with the perfect ear, she still talks about it.
