Honestly I was cleaning out my dad's garage in Cleveland last week and found a box of VHS tapes plus a newspaper clipping he saved from 1999. The headline literally said online shopping and email would fizzle out within 5 years because people would get bored of computers. I laughed, then I got sad, because half those tapes were our family stuff from the 90s and the VCR was long gone. I ended up buying a $70 capture card and spent 14 hours converting everything, and now my mom can watch my first birthday on her phone. The wild part is the same clipping also predicted nobody would ever pay for a phone they carry in their pocket. I keep showing it to people and they all want a copy. Does anyone else have a box of old predictions their parents saved, and what was the dumbest one you found?
