That 1999 article promising flying cars by 2020, and my commute today still took 90 minutes
Ngl, I was digging through my dad's old tech magazines and found this piece from 1999 saying we'd all have personal hovercars and 30 minute work trips by now. Fast forward to Tuesday, I sat in bumper to bumper traffic on I-35 for an hour and a half just to get 11 miles. The worst part is, the article actually compared flying cars to owning a microwave, like it was gonna be that simple. Has anyone else found an old prediction that just makes you laugh at how wrong they were, or is my dad just hoarding ridiculous nostalgia?
