Showerthought: an old magazine from 1995 said the internet would flop because nobody wants to read on a screen
I was cleaning out my dad's garage in Boise last weekend and found a stack of Newsweek issues from the mid 90s. One from February 1995 had a piece basically saying online shopping would never work because people like to touch things before they buy them. It also said email would die out because fax machines were faster and easier. I sat on the floor reading it for like 20 minutes just laughing. What is the worst old tech take you guys have found in a magazine or newspaper?
