My grandpa kept a 1989 newspaper clipping saying nobody would want a computer at home by 2000, I finally read it last week
He had it taped inside his toolbox in his garage in Tacoma, and I found it while cleaning stuff out after he passed. The quote was from some guy at a data company saying home computers were a fad that would die off once people got bored of them. The funny part is my grandpa bought a Packard Bell like 2 years later anyway, so he was already laughing at that clipping back then. What old prediction did your family save just to make fun of it later?

He bought it just two years later? 1989 to 1991 seems quick for the fad to die off before he proved it wrong lol.
