Guy at the coffee shop told me my mechanical keyboard was 'attention seeking'

I was at a local shop in Denver last Tuesday working on my laptop and this random dude walks up while I'm typing. He goes "you know those loud keyboards are just for show, right?" like I was trying to impress him or something. I told him I do pressure washing during the day and the tactile feedback helps my fingers after holding a wand for 8 hours. Has anyone else had some random person judge their gear without knowing the context?

you know those loud keyboards are just for show, right?" That guy must have been bored out of his mind to walk up and say that to a stranger lol. But seriously, did he stick around long enough for you to explain the pressure washing thing or did he just dip out after dropping his hot take?
