My old roommate in Austin said my passive aggressive sticky notes were worse than the actual mess, so I finally just started talking to people
She told me the notes on the fridge made her feel like she was living with her mom, and honestly she was right. Now I knock on doors and say stuff out loud like an adult, weird how that works. Anyone else have a roommate call them out for handling things the wrong way?

Laughed reading this because my roommate pulled the same thing on me sophomore year. I used to leave these long texts instead of just walking ten feet to the living room, and one night she goes "you live here, you can just say it to my face." Ouch. But she was right, the texts made everything way more dramatic than the actual problem (mostly dishes, always dishes). Now I just say hey, can you deal with your pans, and it takes four seconds. It's wild how much energy I used to spend being sneaky instead of just opening my mouth.
