Neighbor's dog attack at the Greeley feed store: lock down your coop or free range?
I was loading scratch into my truck at the Jax in Greeley when a loose husky bolted past me and tore into the back of a bantam a lady was holding near the door. Now I keep my 6 hens behind a 4 foot fence with hardware cloth apron. Half the people I talk to say birds are happier ranging free and the risk is overblown, other half say one bad afternoon wipes out your whole flock. What do you do with your setup?
