Diatomaceous earth in a sock fixed my mite problem in 5 days
I noticed my 6 hens were losing feathers around their vents and found tiny bugs crawling on the roost at night. I tried a spray from Tractor Supply but it did not work, then a neighbor in Boise told me to fill an old sock with diatomaceous earth and dust every crack in the coop. Within 5 days the mites were gone and my hens stopped plucking themselves. Has anyone else had luck with this method or do I need to follow up with something stronger?
