The deer path off trail 7 in the national park is actually closed for restoration until next year. The rangers put up signs last month because the soil erosion was getting so bad. I heard a hiker twisted their ankle there just two weeks ago trying to cut through. How did you even get past the barrier tape without setting off alarms? That view must be incredible to risk a fine or worse, a rescue call.

Wait, you saw someone go past the tape? I did that once on a closed trail at Smith Rock and felt so guilty the whole time! The ranger gave me such a disappointed look on my way back out.
