Spent 90 minutes trying to find the trailhead for the Sawtooth Ridge loop
The GPS pin was a full mile off and the forest service sign was down. Anyone know a reliable way to spot that specific turnoff from the main road?

Seems like every trailhead is a puzzle now. Maybe we've gotten too used to tech doing the work for us.

Too used to tech doing the work" is exactly it. Last weekend I spent 20 minutes just trying to find the actual start of the Maple Ridge loop because the sign was gone and my phone had no signal. Are we just worse at reading basic landmarks now, or are the trails actually harder to find? I remember when a painted blaze on a tree was enough.
