Update: I paid $310 extra for 'expedited' car shipping from Denver to Austin and it showed up 2 weeks late
I booked a transport for my Subaru Outback back in March and the broker talked me into an extra $310 for priority pickup. He said it would leave Denver within 48 hours and land in Austin in 5 days. It sat at a lot in Commerce City for 9 days before anyone touched it, and the driver kept texting me about 'weather delays' while it was sunny the whole time. Total wait was 19 days and my rental cost me another $400 on top. Now I just use the cheapest open carrier and stop paying for speed that doesn't exist. Has anyone actually gotten a fast pickup on an expedited rate, or is that whole upgrade just a sales pitch?
