I had a longtime customer who needed his car back same day. He hinted that I could just sign off on the inspection without doing the full brake check. It put me in a tough spot between keeping his business and doing my job right.

That's exactly how small shops get sued out of business. Even your best regular could have a hidden problem that ends with their car in a ditch, and your name on the work order.
