A flat tire on a backroad trip shifted my view on tool kits

I always figured my basic socket set was enough for any drive. Being stranded without a torque wrench to fix a loose lug nut changed that. Now I carry a full set, learned that from a local guy who helped me out.

My 2005 pickup taught me more from its breakdowns than any manual, @angela899. Now I just laugh when it coughs to a stop.

Laughing when it stops sounds stressful to me, @markpalmer. I'd just get mad at my car for leaving me stuck somewhere. Those breakdowns feel more like expensive problems than good teachers.
