A customer's complaint about my torque readings changed my whole approach to diesel work
Last month a trucker in Tulsa told me my torque spec readings were off by about 15% on his head bolts, and I laughed it off at first... turns out my old clicker wrench was way past its calibration date and I never thought to check it. I bought a digital torque adapter and started logging every fastener job, which has already caught two other mistakes I would have made blind. Has anyone else had a customer call out something that made you doubt your basic tools, and how did you verify what they said?
