Question about panel bonding adhesive on door skins, am I the only one who thinks rivets are lazy

Had a 2019 F-150 in the bay last month with a door skin that a body guy down in Mesa glued and riveted, and the customer came back 4 months later with bubbling along the seam because he never sealed the backside of the rivets. Everyone keeps saying rivets are the fast way and adhesive alone is risky, but I have done 30 plus skins with just a good 2 part epoxy and proper clamping, and not one has come back. What are you all using for clamp time in cold weather, because I think the rivet crowd is just covering for bad prep.
