Eyepiece fogged up mid-shoot at Badwater Basin, here is what saved the night
I was out in Death Valley last March shooting the Milky Way core when my eyepiece fogged over completely around 2 AM. The temperature dropped fast and my breath was condensing right on the glass. I didn't have a dew heater, so I grabbed my hand warmer packet, activated it, and taped it to the barrel near the eyepiece with a rubber band. Within 10 minutes the fog cleared and it stayed dry for the rest of the session. Has anyone else used hand warmers as a makeshift dew heater, or do you stick to proper gear for desert nights?
