Serious question, has anyone ever dealt with a zoning office that needs three copies of everything but only takes digital files?

I just spent an hour printing, signing, and scanning papers only to find out the online system died partway through.

Always thought going digital would fix government paperwork messes lol. Had to file a permit after our porch repair and the upload portal kept timing out. Ended up having to print, sign, and drive downtown anyway, which made the whole thing take twice as long. So much for saving time and paper.

Honestly, read about this exact issue in a local government tech forum last week.

Last year I printed a whole packet in color for the permits office, then they said they lost the digital upload. Had to scan it all again, but my scanner jammed halfway through. Spent an afternoon trying to fix it with tape and prayers. Now I keep a backup printer just for government forms, which is pretty sad when you think about it. Their system crashes more than my old laptop during a software update.
