Update: fixing that lightning-struck oak took me 14 months, not 2 weeks
Back in 2022 I looked at a split red oak in Fayetteville and figured a couple cables and a trim would do it. Then the rot kept showing up every time we opened a new wound, so I kept chasing it with a chisel and a mallet for over a year. Anyone else had a job where the tree just keeps telling you no?
