Shoutout to the vintage radio guide that saved my weekend project

An old ham radio from a garage sale wouldn't power on. I followed a guide to clean the contacts and swap a fuse, and now it's buzzing to life. I'd like to know how others deal with corroded battery terminals on old gear.

Seriously, sometimes that vinegar trick just doesn't cut it.

Try a baking soda paste for really bad corrosion.

Honestly though, isn't it usually just some vinegar and a scrub? Feels like people make a huge deal out of basic cleaning.
