Why does nobody talk about the sub vs dub argument at the anime club in Denver?
We had a watch party last Saturday and a guy walked out because we put on subs instead of dubs for the first episode. Do you pick one and stick with it, or switch depending on the show?

Wait, there's an anime club in Denver? How did I not know about this? That guy walking out over subs is wild though, we had something kind of similar happen at a meetup I go to where a dude got super mad we were watching Cowboy Bebop dubbed and kept going on about how the Japanese voice acting is the "real" version. The thing is, I mostly watch subs but for some shows the dub is just better, like I can't do the Dragon Ball sub at all because the dub voices are what I grew up with. So yeah, I'm all for switching depending on the show, it doesn't have to be a whole loyalty thing. Picking one and sticking with it forever just seems like a good way to miss out on good voice acting either way.
