Thought subtitled anime was for people who couldn't focus, then I watched 3 episodes of Frieren with subs on a plane and now I get it
Saw the Frieren pilot at a friend's place in Austin during a watch party and everyone told me to just try subs for once. Reading the lines actually kept my eyes on the animation instead of my phone, and I caught way more of the small facial stuff. Dubs only now feels like listening to a podcast over the show, anyone else switch sides like this?
