Serious question, a guy at the anime club in Sacramento warned me about the 3-episode rule and I need to know if he was right
Back in January this guy Marcus at our Tuesday club meeting in Sacramento told me to drop any show that hasn't hooked me by episode 3, no mercy. I followed it for two months and dropped 14 shows, including one I now think was just a slow burn. Then my buddy Devin said the rule is garbage and some of his favorite shows don't get good until episode 9 or 10. I'm stuck because I don't want to waste nights on stuff I hate, but I also don't want to miss a gem because I bailed too early. How do you all decide when to quit a show, and does episode count even matter or is it more about the vibe?
