A guy at a con in Dallas told me to drop my top 10 list and just name one show, and it stuck with me
I was standing in line for a panel at Anime Expo Dallas about 7 months ago, and this guy in front of me kept asking everyone what their top 5 shows were. When he got to me, I gave him my usual list, and he just shook his head and said "lists are a cop out, tell me the one show you'd rewatch right now." I froze for a second and then said Mob Psycho 100 without even thinking. He nodded and said that answer told him more about me than a whole list ever could, because lists are what you think you should say and the one show is what you actually love. We talked for maybe 15 minutes before the panel started and I never got his name. Now when people ask me for recs I skip the ranking thing and just ask them what they'd rewatch tonight. Has anyone else had a random con chat change how they talk about shows?
