Magnetic door sensors on metal frames keep false alarming in Phoenix heat
Last month I swapped 12 of these on a strip mall in Phoenix and by day 3 the customer called saying 4 of them tripped at noon when it hit 110 degrees, so I added thermal expansion gaps and now I'm wondering if anyone else uses shims or just switches to recessed sensors for metal doors.

Hell, nobody's talking about the sun angle on those frames baking the sensor guts, not the metal expanding. Paint that aluminum white or add a tiny shade cap over the sensor before you go crazy with shims.
