I used to hate programming keypads, but a recent job changed my view.
I always found programming keypads tedious and time-consuming. On a recent installation, I took extra time to set up custom codes for each family member, and the clients loved it. They said it made the system feel more personalized and secure. Now I see it as a value-add instead of a chore, and I'm curious how others handle keypad setups efficiently.

Seriously? I've had the exact opposite happen. All that custom code stuff just leads to confused clients and more service calls when they mix them up. I stick to one master code per system to keep it simple and save time. Honestly, most people just want it to work without the extra fuss.

Guess what happens when all the cleaners know the same code? Security gets real shaky over time. Simple can mean predictable.

But is predictable code THAT risky in practice?
