Was dead set against torque sticks until a Southwest ramp guy at Midway walked me through it
I spent 9 years hand torquing every lug nut because my first lead at a regional in Tulsa drilled it into me that sticks round off. This guy showed me his 2019 set that gets calibrated every 6 months and let me check 3 wheels against my torque wrench, all within 2 ft-lbs. Anyone running a shop still hand torquing all day, or did you switch and never look back?
Wow, my old lead swore the same thing about sticks rounding off lugs. I read somewhere that calibration is the whole ballgame with those things, so if a shop actually keeps up on it you're probably fine.
