My friend in Phoenix swore frozen fries in the air fryer were a waste of time lol
She said they always came out soggy, but I tried the Alexia brand crinkle cuts at 400 for 15 minutes, shaking halfway. They were crispy outside and fluffy inside, way better than my oven. What's your go-to frozen thing that the air fryer nails?

Your friend is doing it wrong, period. Frozen fries are a Benchmark test for any air fryer. The key is a hot enough temp and not overcrowding the basket.

Hold up, you're missing the point. Some frozen fries are just bad, no matter what you do. The air fryer can't fix a soggy, poorly made product straight from the bag. Overcrowding is a factor, but it's not the whole story. The quality of the fry itself matters way more than people admit. You can do everything right and still get a disappointing result if the brand is trash.

Yeah, that's the real truth right there... I bought this cheap store brand once, followed the bag instructions to the letter in a good air fryer, and they came out like sad little potato sticks... no crisp at all, just a weird waxy feel. Meanwhile, the name brand ones from the freezer next to them turned out perfect with the same cook time. It's totally a roll of the dice with some of those bags.
